Projects come from Grid. When a project is created in Grid, it automatically creates a matching project in Hive — you don't create them manually.
Associating stakeholders with projects lets you answer questions like: who signed the joint consumer submission on this law reform? Who are the researchers on this grant? Who is the decision-maker we need to influence?
Linking a record to a project
Step 1. Open the contact or organisation record. In the right-hand panel, find Projects and click + Add.
Step 2. Click Add existing, then search for the project.
Step 3. Choose the association label, then save.
Association labels
| Label | Use it for |
|---|---|
| Decision Maker | The individual who is a decision-maker for an advocacy project — for example, the NSW Energy and Climate Change Minister. |
| Aligned | A contact who is aligned to the aims of the project. |
| Opposed | A contact who is opposed to the aims of the project. |
| Grant recipient | A contact associated with a grant project. |
A project can have multiple decision-makers.
Suggesting new labels
As Hive's functionality develops, there's scope to create more association labels. If you have an idea for one, contact the System Administrators.
