How to Use AI to Search for Information
Using Breeze AI to ask questions about Hive data in plain English.
Hive includes Breeze AI, which lets you ask questions about your CRM data in plain English rather than building a filter or segment.
It's best for one-off questions. If you need a group you'll reuse, build a segment instead.
Asking a question
Step 1. Click Assistant in the top-right corner of Hive.

Step 2. Type your question in plain English and send it.

What it's good at
Breeze can search across information that would be hard to filter on — particularly the free text inside logged notes and emails.
Examples of questions that work well:
- Can you provide a list of everyone who has mentioned electric vehicles in logged emails?
- Which contacts have hardship mentioned in their notes?
- Who have we met with from AEMO in the last three months?
This is the real advantage: filters and segments search properties, Breeze can search the content of your activity notes. It's only as good as what people have logged — another reason logging matters.
Check the answers
Breeze can get things wrong. Treat its answers as a starting point, not a final list.
- Spot-check the results. Open one or two of the records it returns and confirm they actually match.
- Don't use it for anything that has to be complete — a mailing list, a stakeholder list for a submission, or reporting figures. Build a segment for those.
- Rephrase if the answer looks off. Small changes in wording can produce very different results.
